What does SSL and HTTPS: mean?

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the ShootingBUZZ web server and your browser remains private and integral.

Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and ShootingBUZZ. The 'S' at the end of HTTPS stands for 'Secure'. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted.

Note:  Most pages of ShootingBUZZ are using SSL (Members, Photos, Events, Forums, Groups, For Sale, Files and FAQ) - you will see the small padlock.  The only sections not using are Main, Video and Search due to access to external sites.

How does this security help me?

HTTPS protects the privacy and security of our members and visitors. This helps prevent intruders from tampering with the communications between ShootingBUZZ and users’ browsers. Intruders include intentionally malicious attackers, and legitimate but intrusive companies, such as ISPs or hotels that inject ads into pages.

What is best way to share a Photo?

Select one of the Sharing icons that are displayed at the bottom of the page that has the Photo that you have selected.  It will then bring up a sharing box. For example with Facebook, you will be able to add your message and select other settings as usual.

How about sharing a full page, not just a photo.

Select thefloating Sharing tool in the lower left corner. This will offer several choices for you to select depending on the content (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Email and more). This works great for Events, Groups, Forum topics or the  Latest Photos page.
