Buy a shirt to support Oregon Smallbore and Air Rifle State Championships

By purchasing a T-Shirt (or t-shirts!), you are helping to ensure the State Championships remain low cost and are held in future years!

The Oregon Smallbore and Air Rifle State Championships are held annually to promote competitive shooting within the Smallbore and Air Rifle disciplines. In 2013, when the current Smallbore Director took over, 18 shooters competed in the State Championships. By 2016 the number of competitors had more than doubled with 42 competitors in both Smallbore and Air Rifle. As participation increased, so did the operating costs; as increased shooters means increased sanctioning fees, costs of targets, and other supplies associated with hosting State Championship matches. Balancing the increased costs with the desire to keep the State Championships a low cost match has led to fundraising initiatives in order to ensure the State Championship remains low cost.

Thanks to donations by the Little Family, the Wendle Family, and Nicholle Miller; the Smallbore and Air Rifle State Championships was able to purchase following perpetual trophies:

- Precision Air Rifle High Men's Score

- Precision Air Rifle High Women's Score

- Smallbore High Men's Score

- Precision Air Rifle High Junior's Score

- Sporter Air Rifle High Junior's Score

The new initiative for the program include the purchase of:

1. Banners in order to ensure shooters can find the range

2. Oregon Smallbore State Distinguished Riflemen’s Badges to properly recognize shooters who have distinguished themselves

3. Targets for future State Championships

4. Other supplies associated with funding a State Championship

Finally, everyone involved in the State Championships, from the Smallbore Director, to the Chief Range Officer, Statistical Officer, Match Director, Jury, and Scorers are all volunteers. As an all-volunteer force, all registration fees and fundraising efforts are put back into running the State Championships.

Thank you for your support of the Smallbore and Air Rifle program, we hope to see you are the State Championships!
